ABOUT OUR AUTHORS

Georgie Lee Blalock was born and raised in San Diego where she wrote for Instructional Television. She has an M.A. in Screenwriting from California State University Northridge. Her work has appeared in The Curbside Review, Square Lake, The Walking Stick, and Whistling Shade

Sandy Feinstein has been published in a number of literary journals, including Pacific Review and Blueline .

James F. Gaines is a bilingual writer whose work has appeared in Louisiana Review, Riverside Currents, Xavier Review, and other journals. He teaches French at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Carol K. Howell’s work has appeared in North American Review, New Orleans Review, The Cream City Review, Other Voices, and Sojourner.

J. E. Keats has a master’s degree in English from Boston College. His most recent essay made the “Notables” list in Best American Essays 2004.

William Kumbier teaches writing and world literature at Missouri Southern State University. His work has been published by Literal Latte , Mid-America Poetry Review, Slant, and other journals.

Mark Lutz is excited to appear in Roux. This is one of his first stories to find a home on the printed page. He resides in Ohio with his wife and daughter.

Rich Murphy’s poems have appeared in many publications, including Rolling Stone, Grand Street , Barrelhouse Review, and Poetry Magazine, where he was a featured poet.

Susan Bramble Murphy lives in Birmingham, Alabama. Her work has appeared in MacGuffin and the Birmingham Arts Journal.

James Reed’s work has appeared in Carolina Quarterly, West Branch , and River Styx . He holds an Individual Artist Fellowship from the Nebraska Arts Council.

Steven R. Roberts has been published in Karamu, Borderlands, Blue Unicorn, and other journals. His poetry collection, Small Fire Speaking in the Rain, won the fifth annual chapbook contest held by Talent House Press.

Yvette A. Schnoeker-Shorb is the co-editor of the Sustainable Ways Newsletter and the co-publisher of Native West Press. Her work has been published in The Midwest Quarterly, The Comstock Review , Green Hills Literary Lantern, and many other journals.

Askold Skalsky’s work has appeared in Limestone, Square Lake, and Southern Poetry Review, as well as in publications in England, Ireland, and Canada.

Tim Stiles lives in Concord, California

Robynne Weaver is a student at Mount San Jacinto College. She currently resides in Temecula, California.

Scott R. Welvaert lives in Chaska, Minnesota
